As we work toward an honest effort to honor and learn about Indigenous traditions, we understand better how to slowly remove barriers and build bridges. While on the journey of truth and reconciliation, we come to know about the sacred teachings of the Medicine Wheel and take a look at how these influential teachings are continuing to inform our Recovery Model. Taking the time to learn from these valuable traditions, we will be able to recognize our similarities before our differences and continue to weave threads of hope in Alberta’s diverse tapestry.
